How to use this Site

Welcome and thank you for visiting McJeff's 10,000 plus web backgrounds and computer desktops.

To get started click on

This will bring up the Backgrounds directory list:

NOTE!!
You must have a Java capable browser!
If Java viewer does not display backgrounds after viewing several hundred, or gives you a Java error message. Click your browsers refresh button. We have found that after viewing over 800 backgrounds at one time, the Java script veiwer can lock up.

We have setup a Java script image viewing program (you need a Java capable web browser to use this feature). This program will tile the background, like a web browser allowing you to get a good idea of how each image will look as a background on a web page.  You will also see each background file name you will need to know in order to copy it.
Click your mouse on a Backgrounds group in the directory listing.

This will start the Java script background viewer

Click     START

You will now see a three frame web page (this is the Java script viewer).

Top frame allows you leave the background viewer and gives you a current list or group of  backgrounds thumbnails. Click a link to exit viewer. View Backgrounds Main Page Backgrounds ac1 - ac96 (To save Right Click your mouse on Background or Thumbnail) Site Home Page

Middle frame allows you to select another  list or group of  backgrounds thumbnails. Click a number to select a different group of  background thumbnails. Bottom frame allows you to display backgrounds and to go forward or backward through backgrounds thumbnails groups. Click a a background thumbnail to display background in browser. Click an arrow to select a different group of background thumbnails. ac1.jpg ac4.jpg ac5.jpg ac6.jpg ac7.jpg ac8.jpg ac9.jpg ac10.jpg ac11.jpg ac12.jpg ac3.jpg ac2.jpg

When you click on a thumbnail it will display that background tiled in the center frame, click on a different thumbnail to view a different background.

You can right click on any   background to save to your local drive.

Right click on a background and "save background as"

You can right click on any   thumbnail to save to your local drive.

Right click on a thumbnail and "save picture as"

You can right click on and copy any background to your hard drive, a floppy disk.
You can also use most of these backgrounds as a desktop for your computer
